Elaine is a retired ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a certified spiritual director, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
She has been writing reflections and narratives in personal journals for most of my life. In the past five years, she has written to inspire and encourage others.
She is a mom and gramma with a life-long passion is to wonder, teach, guide, and affirm others; and together integrate issues of life and Spirit.
Elaine has 30 years of experience working as a therapist companioning others through issues of life transition and meaning. During this period she developed a successful practice in Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois, most recently retiring from serving a campus ministry at the University of Illinois.
Her expertise lies in the areas of assisting others with concerns relating to coping with the loss and renewal in transitions, relationships, spiritual meaning and direction, life stages, and personal problems of confusion, despair, and stress by integrating psychological and spiritual resources of her clients for growth, healing, and understanding.
As a gifted workshop leader and speaker, she brings a warm, enthusiastic, and inspired energy to all those she encounters.
Elaine was recently remarried after being widowed for several years. Along with writing she enjoys wondering about life with others, being grandma, reading a good book, nature and traveling.
