Visiting An Old Friend

I arrive, opening my arms,
Running from the shore,
Embracing her fluid essence.

Gentle midst kissing my check,
Waves swell, then bend,
Gesturing welcome.

Walks and waves unite in rhythm
Renewing connections,
Reviving reflections.

“I am here.”I affirm.
Awaiting a wisdom word,
Listening to this ancient friend.

“Wait,” is her reply.
“Just be.
This is enough.”

For now…
